Waarom wij kiezen voor eenvoud in verzorging

Why we choose simplicity in care

There's a point when you think, "I'm using SO much... but my skin still doesn't feel calm."
You hear that more often than you think. And honestly? It makes sense. Skincare has become increasingly complex in recent years: new trends, new steps, new claims. While your skin and hair often respond best to... rest.

That's why we consciously choose simplicity at Berber by Nature. Not because "minimalist" sounds good, but because it works in real life: every day, for real skin and real hair.

In this blog, we explain what “simplicity” means to us, why fewer ingredients often do more, and how you can use our products intelligently because of this.

What do we mean by “simplicity”?

For us, simplicity does not mean “basic” or “less good”.
Simplicity means:
• clear ingredients (you understand what you are using)
• products with a clear function (cleaning, exfoliating, caring)
• no unnecessary steps that duplicate or counteract each other
• space for your skin to recover instead of constantly compensating

Does this sound like how you want to build your routine? Then you'll find a lot of resonance in the blog: A simple skincare routine without unnecessary products.

Why fewer ingredients often feels better

The longer the ingredient list, the greater the chance that your skin won't like "something."
That doesn't mean every complex product is bad — but it does mean that:
• a sensitive skin can react more quickly
• it becomes more difficult to know where something comes from if you get irritated
• your routine becomes unnecessarily complicated

That's why we like to work with products like argan oil, prickly pear seed oil, ghassoul and black soap: ingredients that have been around for a long time, have been used for a long time, and that keep your routine clear.

Simplicity is also: the right order

What many people miss is not one more product, but the right order.

A calm routine doesn't have to have many steps, but it does have logical steps:
1. Cleanse (mild)
2. Exfoliate (not too often, but thoroughly)
3. Care (simple and nourishing)

That's why our products fit together so well:
• Black soap with argan oil prepares the skin
• Kessa glove exfoliates in a controlled manner
• Ghassoul purifies without aggression
• Argan oil / prickly pear seed oil for care afterwards
• Make-up remover (rose water + argan oil) cleanses without harsh rubbing

Why we don't believe in "more and more"

We often see that people keep adding:
another toner, another serum, another cleanser…
but in the meantime the skin becomes unbalanced more quickly.

Simplicity also means being consistent.
A routine you stick with is more powerful than a perfect routine you give up after two weeks.

Simplicity = honest choices

At Berber by Nature we consciously choose products that:
• have a clear function
• fit in with tradition and proven use
• help you to achieve complete care with fewer products
• not about a “quick fix”, but about support and care

That's also why we explain everything per use on the product pages — so you don't have to guess, combine or experiment.

This is what simplicity looks like in everyday life

A simple routine could be:
• Daily: mild cleansing + oil care
• 1x per week: ghassoul or black soap + kessa
• After exfoliation: always treat with oil

Your skin often feels calmer because you are not constantly changing or overstimulating.

Finally

Simplicity isn't a "style" for us. It's a choice: for peace, clarity, and care that you understand.

Don’t do more — but choose better.
